Has anyone had issues with USAA Travel Rewards program? I can't seem to get any answers from USAA or know where to begin. I had an unauthorized credit card charge from their travel group, disputed it, and now they have sent me to a credit agency.

Dear Moorlock21,
You are a valued customer, and we thank you for banking with USAA. We're writing to let you know that USAA Savings Bank is making modest changes and enhancements to our USAA Total Rewards Program for your account ending in 2510.

Changes to the program
The name of the program is changing to USAA Rewards. Additionally, to help balance the member benefits we provide with the cost of doing business, effective April 1, 2010, the number of points required for gift cards and travel will increase. For a complete list of the new redemption levels and rewards values, please see the tables in the terms and conditions.

New ways to earn and redeem
We've added new ways to earn and redeem points:

* Earn double points or more through our new MemberShopTM Mall. For every dollar you spend through our network of more than 500 online retailers, you'll earn up to 20 extra points per dollar1. That's in addition to your regular point earnings.
* Take advantage of exciting new reward options, such as racing a NASCAR stock car. Log on to usaa.com and go to the USAA Total Rewards website for a complete list of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Take advantage and redeem at today's levels
We're letting you know about these changes now so you can take advantage of today's earning levels and rewards. You will not lose points and you have until March 31, 2010, to redeem your points at the current levels. You can find the current and new redemption levels and rewards on usaa.com. Simply go to your credit card Account Summary and click on USAA Total Rewards.

USAA credit card — an exceptional overall value
Your USAA Rewards program credit card is one of the best rewards programs in the industry. When compared to similar programs, our card is the only one that offers the best overall value including this unique package of benefits:

* No annual or redemption fee
* No cap or expiration on points
* Very competitive interest rate
* No liability for fraudulent charges
* Special APR for active-duty members on qualifying deployment or military campaign
* Earn extra points by shopping at our MemberShop Mall
* Rated as providing the best customer experience of any large credit card provider in America by Forrester Research, Inc.2

Rest assured that you'll continue to enjoy unparalleled value from our rewards program. Although the changes are not effective until April 1, 2010, we've revised the USAA Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. If you have questions, please call us at 1-800-563-0498. We look forward to continuing to serve your financial needs.

I got this today, I don't know if it has anything to do with your problem though.
Personally I would call USAA again and the travel group also and restate my problem-and ask them to pull the account back from the credit agency. I've always had good customer service from them.
By any chance did you not pay your bill while the charge was in dispute? I believe that you're still responsible for making the minimum payment until the dispute is resolved...Anyway, good luck!!!

The problem is, I don't know who at USAA to contact. When I originally told them about it they said to contact Traveler's Advantage. It's the same old runaround like with everything else. I would definitely like to make a complaint/report Traveler's Advantage to USAA about this.

I would follow Joe's advice and try calling USAA again. I've also have always recieved good customer service from them.

Try explaining the situation again, from the start. And as frustrating as I know the whole situation can be, try to take a deep breath and relax before you call. I've found that being upset doesn't help matters when trying to get information.

Is that you posting in the main credit forum about Traveler's Advantage putting through an unauthorized charge?
