After many years in Chex hell, my report is finally clean.
I've had an account at a regional bank for a while which for the most part serves my needs, but I've been considering opening an account at TD Bank since they are up-and-down the east coast where I travel a lot and they reimburse ATM surcharges. They also allow no-fee ATM use and no foreign transaction fees in Canada where I go pretty frequently as well. I'm typically spending about $20 or so a month on ATM surcharges plus foreign transaction fees in Canada.
Obviously them checking Chex isn't a problem for me; but, I'm leery of any additional inquiries on my credit reports right now so I emailed them and was told they "may" pull a credit report even if I'm not requesting a credit product.
Can anyone who has opened an account at TD Bank in the past few months confirm whether or not they do pull a credit report and if so which one?
Thanks!

You know what, I am wrong. They didn't pull one on me. I appologize, was another bank. Not TD Bank. I know they will pull chex, and I think thats it.

When I opened my account with them a little over a year ago (back when they were Commerce Bank), they did a soft pull on TU.
