Is it better to go through GMAC direct via their web site or through a dealer? Are there any differences that I should care about?

GMAC is an indirect lender.

You gain absolutely nothing by applying via their website, and could possibly risk a decline.

Marv - Thanks! I had a talk with the dealer and he said he could get me a pretty good rate on my second vehicle and that GMAC might not be the best option for me. My best score is TransUnion and Equifax is second. He said he knows which banks to use. He will go a direction that will use my TU report and committed to getting me the rate that I want. So, I should know today.

Thanks again!

Good Luck.
