Does anyone have any experience with 722 Redemption (www.722redemption.com)?

I have a 2002 Chrysler Sebring with some 148K miles that is just now starting to have an apparently common problem of oil sludge buildup that causes the engine to blow. I am scared it will die and leave me stranded -- I have a fairly long commute (hence the 148K miles......)

It's included in the Chapter 13 -- since I had the loan more than 910 days before filing, I am paying what it is worth at 100% and the amount I was "upside down" at the lower percentage like the other debt.

I am 5 months into a 58 month payment plan.

I realize my options are severely limited -- just trying to explore what others might have experienced before the car (which is going to the mechanic tomorrow) dies.

722redemption dot com is probably in the vast majority of cases not a good financial course of action. One is probably better off surrending the current vehicle assuming no equity exists and wait for the BK discharge to get another vehicle.

I guess I will buy some <$1,000 old beater and explore surrendering it, then.

Maybe it can be fixed without a lot of $$, though. But I have read that it's a common problem with these engines, 2.7L V-6's. Oil sludge, apparently, regardless of how diligent you have been about changing the oil.

On the bright side, it still runs as of this moment.

On the not so bright side, having 55 months to go before discharge without a newer / reliable car is going to be rough.
