I got approved for a car on March 6th, 2006. Drove the car right off the lot. Next morning, The car wouldnt start. Next thing you know, the car stayed in the shop for 2 weeks!!! They fixed the problem, now im hearing a heavy noise in the engin!!!!! Either the engin or the exaust system in the car. This should not happen what so ever!!! Im frustrated and very angry. Now when I took the car today to get fixed again, hes telling he has to charge me $100 an hour to find the problem in the car. On top of that, he has to see if my warrenty covers the problem!!!! I have a family lawyer and I wont hesitate to call I-Team on your side and make them refund me my down payment and they can keep the car!!! Do I have any other options before I jump into the legal atmosphere? Also, Havent had the car for more then 2 weeks yet!!!

Look at the documents you have. If there are no expressed warranties or guarantees listed, you're stuck. Even with the dealerships that certify their cars that I've dealt with, the longest period I've seen for any money back guarantee was 5 days and less than 150 miles driven. After that it's AS-IS. That's why you ALWAYS ALWAYS get a used car inspected. There are no lemon laws protecting used car sales. Sorry to say but you're stuck. The only thing I can see the dealer doing for you is to cover any repairs on their dime. You can get a lawyer all you want but you're not going to win in court.

You're stuck with it. The best you can hope for is the dealer to repair it for you, and then that would only be if it was sold with a warranty from the dealer (The kind of warranty that doesn't cost extra, the "WARRANTY" box would've been checked on the window sticker that says "WARRANTY" versus "AS IS-- NO WARRANTY".)

Unless the dealer has an express return policy, I think it would be unlikely you could just return the vehicle and them refund your downpayment.
