Full Version: ? for Marv or Anyone - European Delivery Ever Make Sense?

My lease on a Toyota is coming up in a year and I have started looking around early for a change. I love the Saab 9.5 and the Audi A4 is a close second (although if I had any brains I'd get the Acura TL in this price range). Saab, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo and BMW all have European delivery incentives. Does this ever make financial sense or do you do it just because its cool to go on a European trip?

Does anyone know much about who has the best program or how to go about doing this?

Any feedback appreciated!!!

I've only read about the BMW one. Remember not ALL models of those cars are available on European delivery. A couple models of BMW and some Mercedes models are made here in the US or in Mexico.

IF you were planning the European Vacation anyway (and your last name isn't Griswold) then go for it. You'll get to try out your new car right off the assembly line and they arrange to ship it back home when you're done.

It'll be about the same as you buy it in the USA and you'll still have to pay taxes and fees once you get it here. I think I read with BMW its about 3-4 weeks when you drop it off at the dock for shipping to the US before it arrives here and your dealer can pick it up.

I am not familiar with deliveries made to consumers outside the US.
