Tennessee Lemon Law

If a consumer reports defects covered by the manufacturer’s warranty during the warranty period, or within a year after the new car is first delivered, if that date is earlier, the dealer of the manufacturer must make the necessary repairs. As long as a problem is reported within the required time period, the consumer retains this right to have the car repaired even if the problem continues after the warranty expires. If the manufacturer or dealer is unable to fix the problem after four or more times, or the vehicle is out-of-service for repair for a total of 30 or more calendar days, and the problem affects the value or use of the car, then the consumer is entitled to relief under the Lemon Law.
