We were discharged last May, turned in a car 2 weeks ago that was not reaffirmed but we just could not afford anymore.... Have one van but 4 drivers and a "bomb" my husband drives just around town (paid off)....

If I want to get a $4,000 car or less, any suggestions? My credit sucks right now, lates on the van (1 60 day, 5 30 day), other than that, just 2 credit cards... that are current.... don't want to pay alot a month ($100 or so)... but I cannot get financing anywhere.... cray.gif

If on your credit file there are late pays after your BK discharges it will be exceptionally difficult to procure a loan.

Depending on the severity of the lates, you may find yourself seeking financing via a tertiary lender.

Thanks

The reason there are lates have alot to do with payday loans I can't get control of... got them after the bankruptcy because no one else will lend to you... wasn't even late with car before bankruptcy...
what is a teritary lender...

We call them bottom feeders in the auto biz. They buy loans no one else will buy.

Charge a lot of interest, only do short term.

and

large fees.
